We’re incredibly proud to share that Fruity LIFE has once again been recognised as one of Queensland’s best independent fruit and vegetable retailers, taking out third place in the 2025 A better choice! Retailer Awards.
This is the second year in a row we’ve been voted among the top three retailers in Queensland, and it’s something our whole team is truly grateful for.
Based on Howard Street in the heart of Nambour, Fruity LIFE has been serving our local community for 11 years. From fresh fruit and vegetables to pantry staples, local favourites and everyday essentials, our goal has always been simple: to offer quality produce, friendly service and a shopping experience our community can feel good about.

The A better choice! Retailer Program is a national initiative that celebrates the value of shopping with local, independent fruit and vegetable retailers.
It highlights businesses that provide fresh, quality, Australian-grown produce sourced through Australia’s Central Markets, while encouraging customers to support their local fruit and veg shops.
For us, this recognition means a great deal because it reflects what we care about most — fresh produce, local growers, strong supplier relationships and the customers who choose to shop with us each week.
A True Team Effort
This award is also a reflection of the people behind Fruity LIFE.
Our shop manager, Clayton Glen, and our grocery and front manager, Mel Tollen, have been part of the Fruity LIFE journey from the very beginning. Their commitment, care and consistency have played a huge role in shaping the store into what it is today.
We’d also like to acknowledge Arhonda O’Brien, the Flinn family and every member of our team who has contributed over the past few years. Ranking in Queensland’s top three for two years running is something we don’t take lightly, and it simply wouldn’t happen without the effort, pride and heart our team brings to the shop every day.
